MA2, "Piano Bar (Red)", ZX Spectrum (1984)

Geoff Davis

"A generative art piece that makes lively graphics with a short piece of code, colour controllable. The graphics shunt up from the bottom of the screen, with regular overlays, like a roll. Player pianos, typewriters, Jaquard’s Loom (an early weaving machine), and textiles by Anni Albers, all provided inspiration. The bands of colour are drawn at the bottom of the screen (a bit like a typewriter) with the graphics pushing up the screen, with occasional overlays. Very watchable."
